Closures
A closure is not a wig but rather an attachment used to seamlessly close a weave without the use of natural hair. It is typically sewn in conjunction with weaving or used in the creation of a custom wig by hand.
The two main styles of closures are lace closures and lace frontal closures. Closures are specifically designed to provide a natural appearance, giving the illusion of hair growing from the scalp. These closures feature a thin, breathable lace fabric that is manually tied with hair, resembling the natural brown color of the scalp.
In general, closures are also referred to as closure pieces. These pieces can be sewn behind the hairline to blend with waves or caps, creating the appearance of a natural scalp area.
There are various types of closures available to achieve different looks for consumers. Closures can be further divided into Three Part, Middle Part, and Free Part styles. Additionally, for weaves, they come in body style, straight style, natural wave style, and more. Most hair closures also feature baby hair, which adds to their lightweight and soft-to-touch characteristics.
